Aisha and Suzuka I love this series, I've heard it described as Bebop light but don't buy into that yes the two are similar... in a way that DS9 and Babylon 5 are similar.
This series features intelligent villians, suspense,intrigue, and a twisted sense of absurd humor (to prevent his openly gay friend from marrying a woman Gene must crossdress and enter into a woman's wrestling tournament) all combine to form the ultimate retelling of Pinocchio albeit with Gepetto as a greedy bastard.
Some who have seen the show may not understand that statement think of Mellfina as Pinnochio though and it all fall's into place.
Also of note is the beautifull end theme, you can find the lyrics here in the Kareoke section under the title Mellfina's song.
I have to give Outlaw Star an eight out of ten... and only an eight because there weren't enough episodes.
