The ladies... well minus Kiyone. One of my favorite characters, Kiyone. Group photo. Through all three series and the films one thing has bugged me... Tenchi. Why in the hell are these women all over him? He's a wuss. Now if he where a bit more straight forward and showed any intrest what-so-ever it might be different... Anyway I'm judging all of them as one. I know, I know, it's not the greatest way to do it but at times it is hard to tell the differance between the series. Great characters, and interaction save this series from total oblivion and make it one of my faves. When a series does have a fight scene it is either ridicoulously over the top (Mecha Washuu's Atomic Volleyball???),Very Kickass (Who doesn't remember Kagato vs. Ryoko,or the first Ryoko vs. Nagi showdown?) or utterly forgetable (teased with a fight between Tenchi and the Bishonen guy we are robbed of seeing a single manuever). Over all the Tenchi sagas rate a seven out of ten. Not just because of Tenchi (although that is primarilly it) but because of a few confusing elements in each series, I recommend watching it if you enjoy romantic sit-coms but otherwise look elsewhere for your action sequences. |
